Sarah Sutter

Art Teacher, Traveler, Photographer @edueyeview

I have been exhibiting my photography throughout Maine and New England for the past twenty years. In that time my work has included figure studies, portraits, still life and landscapes. I travel extensively when time permits, in North America, Europe and Japan. My photographic work includes the use of various format cameras on traditional films, and my most recent work includes digital stills and video installation. My background in photography includes work with J. Seeley at Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut; Tom Fischer and Steve Bliss at Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia; Jere DeWaters in Maine and Sandra Stark in Boston. I have an MFA from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, with a focus on digital imaging and digital video. In addition to teaching fill time at Wiscasset High School for 16 years, I have also taught Photo 101, Intro to Digital Imaging and Photoshop 1 as an adjunct lecturer for the University of Maine at Augusta as well as Multimedia and other courses for the University of Maine. I currently continue to teach occasionally for UMaine, and teach full time at the American School in Japan (ASIJ) in Tokyo, Japan.

The work available for purchase through Smugmug is my event photography, as well as snapshots for family and friends.
